If you want to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Sungai Buloh, the best way to get there is by the KL Sentral to Sungai Buloh KTM Komuter Trains.
These services leave on a regular basis from early morning until late evening and are a very cheap way to travel.

ETS Train from KL Sentral to Sungai Buloh

If you want to reserve a seat, you can use one of the ETS Trains that stop here on either the KL to Ipoh route or the long-distance trains heading to Butterworth or Padang Besar.
ETS trains that stop at Sg. Buloh Railway Station are more expensive.
However, the journey is quicker and more comfortable in your reserved seat (unlike on the Komuter trains where seating is on a first-come, first-served basis).

The price for a cash ticket / token for the Komuter trains from KL to Sg. Buloh is just 3.30 MYR.
There are no advance tickets necessary or available - you just turn up at the station and buy your tickets on the day of departure, then jump on the next train.
If you want to use the ETS services on this route, a ticket on one of the ETS Silver trains will cost you 10 MYR while a seat on the Gold services will cost you 11 MYR.
