KTM Senandung Langkawi Express Train Timetable
The Malaysian Railways (KTM Berhad) train number 20, the Senandung Langkawi Express train (now renamed Express Peninsular) is a daily overnight sleeper service that now operates from Johor Bahru in Malaysia to Hat Yai in Thailand.
This rail service offers travellers the most comfortable way to travel from JB or KL to tourist destinations like Langkawi or into Southern Thailand.
The train comprises of both first class and second class sleeper carriages and second class seats and economy seating - all air-conditioned.
If you are travelling all the way to Hat Yai on this KTM service, you will have to book either a 2nd class sleeping berth or second class seat, as all the other carriages are taken off before entering Thailand.

If you want to travel from JB to Hat Yai by train, you will now have to:
Take a Shuttle Train from JB to Gemas.
Take an ETS Train from Gemas to Padang Besar.
Take a Shuttle Train from Padang Besar to Hat Yai.
