The train is not the fastest way to travel, so if you want to get to the beach quickly, you can choose to take either a minivan or bus from the southern bus terminal in Bangkok.

If you want to travel in the cheapest possible way, 3rd class is the way to go.
For short trips like this from Bangkok to Hua Hin they can be a good experience, but can get a little crowded at times.
3rd class seats2nd class seats are a bit more comfortable as they recline and the carriages are often less crowded than in 3rd class.
2nd class seatsThe 2nd class Day & Night carriages offer much wider seating and will be made into beds during the evening if you want to lie down for a couple of hours. However, it is not really worth paying the extra fees for this short journey, so we recommend you use the 3rd or 2nd class seat carriages for this trip to Hua Hin beach.
