Station Information

If you have never been to Hua Lamphong Railway Station in Bangkok before, we suggest you read the following pages on our site:

The main information page for Hua Lamphong Station >

The how to get to and from Hua Lamphong Station page >

When you arrive in Hua Hin, the railway station is located just a short walk from the main centre of town and the main town beach.

Bear in mind Hua Hin is a very narrow and long town, so some parts of the beach are quite a few miles away from the station.

See our Hua Hin Railway Station page here >

Do I Need a Reservation to Travel on Train 171?

Train 171 is one of the few trains from Bangkok to Hua Hin that you could just turn up at Bangkok station and buy a ticket for on the day of travel.

The only problem with doing this is you may find only 3rd class tickets available.

If you want to travel in 2nd class, you may want to think about booking tickets in advance.
