Travel on the ETS Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh train service is much quicker than travel by bus, but the train is more expensive.
The duration of the journey by train is around half an hour (to cover the roughly 40 km distance between Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh).
Please note: You can now also travel on a much cheaper and more regular KTM Komuter Utara (northern commuter train) between Kuala Kangsar and Ipoh.

Buying Tickets for the ETS Kuala Kangsar to Ipoh Train
As with all travel by ETS train within Malaysia, it is always best to book your seats in advance.
Chances are you could buy tickets on the day of travel, however, there are going to be many days when all ETS trains will be operating full (especially at weekends and holidays).
So, we advise you to book at least a day or two in advance if you want to travel by train.
