Hua Hin to Bangkok Train Schedule / Timetable 2024
To travel from Hua Hin to Bangkok by train there are many daily departures to the new main station in Bangkok, Bang Sue Grand
(Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal).
There is also a few cheap trains from Hua Hin to Bangkok's old train station, Hua Lamphong and to Bangkok Thonburi station.
The train is not the fastest way to travel from Hua Hin to Bangkok, but is an interesting journey, especially on the third class ordinary trains, which you should only take for the experience or if you want to travel really cheaply, as they will probably be delayed!
Train arriving in BangkokThe best trains to travel on for speed are the Special Express DRC Trains (Diesel Railcars) which comprise of just a few second class, air-conditioned seat carriages and are more likely to run on time.
If you want to travel from Hua Hin to Bangkok Airport (BKK - Suvarnabhumi), it is now much easier to catch a direct bus from Hua Hin to BKK, than it is travelling by train into the centre of the city.

Train Ticket Prices
Ticket prices vary depending on the type (and speed) of the train and the class of seat you require.
Prices start from an amazingly cheap 44 Baht for a third class seat on a slow fan cooled Ordinary Train to over 1,000 Baht for a first class ticket on an air-conditioned Special Express Train.
Trains to Thon Buri from Hua Hin are a couple of Baht cheaper than the Ordinary / Rapid trains to Hua Lamphong.
