If you travel by one of the Ekspres Selatan trains (ES numbered services) there is only one type of seat available, the Superior Class carriages / seats.
A seat in Superior Class costs:
Adult fare (tambang) = 14 MYR - Child fare = 11 MYR.
If you travel on the Ekspres Rakyat Timuran (ERT numbered train), you have a choice of carriages with Superior, Premier and Superior Night Class available.
The Superior Class seats cost the same as per above.
Premier Class seats cost:
Adult fare = 22 MYR - Child fare = 15 MYR.
Superior Night Class berths cost:
Adult fare = 20 MYR - Child fare = 17 MYR.

An alternative way to get from Kluang to Johor Bahru is to take a bus to Larkin Sentral (JB Larkin Bus Terminal).
Bus tickets are slightly cheaper than taking the train and the journey takes around the same time (two hours - depending on traffic).
