You can buy your KTM Komuter train tickets from the ticket counter at Ipoh Railway Station.
Unlike ETS trains where you should book in advance, Komuter train tickets are only
sold on the day of departure.
You should arrive at the station a least 15 - 20 minutes before your train departs to buy your tickets as Ipoh station is often very busy and there may be a long queue for tickets.
KTM Komuter trains differ from ETS trains as the Komuter services offer seating on a first come, first served basis. If no seats are available, you may have to stand for some of the journey.
ETS trains have seating only (no standing passengers allowed) and your seat number is reserved when you buy your tickets.
If you want to guarantee a seat for this trip, you would have to take an ETS train from Ipoh to Parit Buntar.
