The ETS KL Sentral to Gemas train operated by KTM Berhad (Malaysia Railways) takes you to the end of the line for the newer Electric Train Services (the electrified line to JB Sentral in Johor Bahru is currently under construction).
From Gemas railway station you can connect to Intercity trains to take you into Johor state and onto Singapore or you can transfer to the East Coast Line (Jungle Railway) up to Kelantan in the Northeast of Malaysia.
From May 2016, all Intercity Express Trains between KL and Gemas have been cancelled due to the opening of the new electrified dual tracks and now only ETS and Komuter trains can operate north of Gemas on the N - S Line.
