The high speed Lomprayah boats (catamarans) depart from Mae Haad Pier and arrive at Thung Makham Noi Pier which is located approximately 27 km from Chumphon Railway Station.

minivan / bus service that meets the ferry and takes you to Chumphon city centre just in front of the Chumphon Railway Station.

Lomprayah Koh Tao to Chumphon Ferry Ticket Prices from Mae Haad Pier
One-way prices for tickets on the fast ferry from Koh Tao to Chumphon cost:

Childrens Fare**: 375 THB
The additional overland transport to Chumphon Railway Station costs an extra 150 THB per person.
** To be eligible for the child ticket prices, children must be aged between 2 to 11. Children aged 11 or over have to pay the full adult fare. Children under the age of 2 travel for free but do not get a seat (if they do require their own seat the child ticket price applys).
Arriving at Chumphon Railway Station you can organise you onward travels by train for services heading north all the way to Bangkok, or head south by train all the way to Hat Yai close to the Malaysian border.

Sleeper Night Ferry from Koh Tao to Chumphon
The other, much slower but slightly cheaper way to get from Koh Tao to Chumphon is to take one of the overnight sleeper boats.
These converted cargo ships usually depart Koh Tao around 21:00 and take 7 to 8 hours to get to Chumphon.
Tickets for the night boats cost approximately 600 THB and can be purchased online or at travel agents on the island.
