To travel from KTM Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur old railway station is a good option for those who want to stay in Chinatown as the old train station is now linked by a pedestrian bridge to Pasar Seni LRT / MRT station and from there you can easily walk into the heart of Chinatown in 5 to 10 minutes.

All ETS trains heading south will stop at KTM Kuala Lumpur station (Terminal KTM) and arrive approximately 4 minutes before arriving at KL Sentral station.

Between Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur, there is a dedicated ETS route and long-distance ETS trains from either Padang Besar or Butterworth.
