Tasek Gelugor to Sungai Petani KTM Train Schedule (Jadual)
The quickest and cheapest way get from Tasek Gelugor to Sungai Petani is to take one of the regular KTM Komuter (commuter) trains that operate on the northern commuter route (Laluan Komuter Utara) between Butterworth and Padang Besar or you could take one of the less frequent ETS services.
We would recommend you travel on the cheap KTM Komuter trains although they can get quite busy on this part of the route, it is only one stop to Sungai Petani and the duration of the train journey is only 11 minutes so if you have to stand for the whole journey it is not too bad.

You can buy KTM Komuter train tickets from the ticket counter at Tasek Gelugor Station only on the day of travel.

Arriving at Sungai Petani Railway Station
After your short train journey, you arrive at the KTM Sungai Petani Railway Station which is located right in the centre of town.
If you want to connect to buses, the Sungai Petani Bus Terminal is located along the same road as the train station (just turn right as you exit the station and walk for about 5 minutes and you will see the bus station on the left).
There is also another smaller local bus station just off the main road that runs through the centre of town.
To get here you will have to cross the railway tracks using the footbridge (turn right as you exit the station).
