TBS to Bukit Bintang LRT (Pavilion MRT / Monorail Station)
A quick and cheap way to get from TBS to Bukit Bintang is to travel by LRT train (Light Rapid Transit) from the nearby Bandar Tasik Selatan (BTS) integrated railway station.
Terminal Bersepadu Selatan bus station is directly connected to BTS railway station by a footbridge, so just follow the signs for trains from the bus terminal.
There are actually two separate train stations named Bukit Bintang in KL:
The Air Asia Bukit Bintang Monorail station.
Bukit Bintang MRT station (also known as Pavilion Kuala Lumpur / Bukit Bintang Sentral station).
Both stations are very close to each other but not integrated in any way.
Bandar Tasik Selatan (BTS) to Bukit Bintang Trains
There are no direct LRT train services to Bukit Bintang, so the best ways to get there are as follows:
1) TBS to Air Asia Bukit Bintang Monorail Station:
Take an LRT train on the Sri Petaling Line from BTS to Hang Tuah (take a train in the direction of Sentul Timur - 6 stops - duration approximately 16 minutes).
At Hang Tuah integrated station, you now need to transfer onto the KL Monorail Line (just follow the signs).
Take the Monorail from Hang Tuah to Air Asia Bukit Bintang (take a train in the direction of Titiwangsa - 2 stops - duration approximately 3 minutes).
2) TBS to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur - Bukit Bintang MRT station:
Take an LRT train from BTS to Plaza Rakyat (take a train in the direction of Sentul Timur - 7 stops - duration approximately 18 minutes).
Plaza Rakyat station is integrated with Merdeka MRT station.
Take an MRT train from Merdeka to Bukit Bintang (take a train in the direction of Kajang - 1 stop - approximately 3 minutes).
Carriage on an LRT train from TBS / BTSWhichever train route you choose to get from TBS to Bukit Bintang, the total duration of the journey should be around half an hour.

LRT trains are the most frequent of all train departures from Bandar Tasik Selatan railway station with trains departing every 3 minutes during commuter rush hours in the morning and afternoon, every 5 minutes during the day, slowing down to every 14 minutes during the late evening.
The first LRT departures from TBS start at 6 am and run until the last train at around midnight (11:30 pm Sunday).
