The only disadvantage of taking a Komuter train is that seating is on a first-come, first-served basis so you may have to stand for part of the journey if the train is very busy.
However, this part of the Komuter route is not as busy as the southern sector between Alor Setar and Butterworth so most of the time you should be able to get a seat.
If you want to guarantee to get a seat, the only way to do that is to take the more expensive ETS train where all seats have to be reserved (you should book ETS train tickets in advance to make sure you can get a seat).
