Tickets for the ETS Train from Sg. Petani to Kuala Lumpur Sentral vary depending on the type of train:
If you want to travel by ETS train in Malaysia we would advise you to make an advance booking so that you make sure you can get a seat on any particular train.
This is because it is quite hard to predict when the trains are going to be full, with many trains on the holidays, weekends, the many different new years, religious festivals etc being sold out well in advance.
Booking tickets is quite straight forward.
You can purchase your ETS seats usually between 30 - 60 days in advance from any KTMB Railway Station ticket counter, but booking periods can vary quite considerably, as schedule changes are made frequently for these new trains.
You can also buy tickets online from various sources, often for the same price as from the station or sometimes cheaper.
