Hat Yai to Ban Krut Train
To get from Hat Yai to Ban Krut by train, there is just one night sleeper Rapid service available.
All the other Hat Yai to Bangkok trains do not stop off here.
Taking the train to get to Ban Krut beach is a much better option than taking a bus, as any Bangkok bound buses that pass by on the highway, will drop you off here, leaving a long motorbike taxi ride to get you to the beach.

When you arrive a Ban Krut Railway Station, you will have a 10 minute walk to the beach area from here, but as you will be arriving in the early hours, it would be best to take a motorbike taxi to your destination.
If you do want to walk, come out of the station, turn right, then turn left on to the main road down to the beach (past the 7-Eleven).
If arriving in Ban Krut in the early hours is not what you want to do, you could take a train from Hat Yai to Chumphon or Bang Saphan. Spend the night (there are hotels very close to either station), then take the morning local train to Ban Krut.

Booking Train Tickets
If you want to travel in anything other than 3rd class, you should really book your tickets in advance to make sure you can get the seat or berth you require.
To buy advance tickets from Hat Yai station, just visit the advance booking office located in the main entrance hall of the station (on the left).
