If you want to travel from Hua Hin to Bangkok by train, there are many departures a day to choose from, either taking you to Bangkok's main railway station in Hua Lamphong or to Thon Buri station (Bangkok Noi) north of the river.
The train is not the fastest way to travel from Hua Hin to Bangkok, but is an interesting journey, especially on the third class ordinary trains, which you should only take for the experience or if you want to travel really cheaply, as they will probably be delayed!
The best trains to travel on for speed are the Special Express DRC Trains (Diesel Railcars) which comprise of just a few second class, air-conditioned seat carriages and are more likely to run on time.
If you want to travel from Hua Hin to Bangkok Airport (BKK), it is now much easier to catch a direct bus from Hua Hin to BKK, than it is travelling by train into the centre of the city.
For departure times and fares for buses from Hua Hin to Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal or BKK Airport :
|42/44||02.22||05.55||Special Express DRC|
|40||16.01||19.45||Special Express DRC|
