To get from KTM Pulau Sebang / Tampin to Langkawi Island by train, one of your options is to take an ETS Tampin to Alor Setar train, then transfer to the jetty at Kuala Kedah for the ferry over to Kuah Jetty on Pulau Langkawi (boats take one hour and 45 minutes).
Another option is to take the train from Tampin/Pulau Sebang to Arau in Perlis where you can connect to the Kuala Perlis to Langkawi ferry.
Boats from Kuala Perlis are quicker as this is the shortest distance over to the island, taking just one hour and 15 minutes.
