The quickest way to get to Kuala Lumpur city centre is to take one of the ETS Tanjung Malim to KL Sentral trains that take on average around one hour and 20 minutes to get to Kuala Lumpur Sentral railway station.

Train numbers starting with "90" are usually the easiest services to get seats on as they are trains that operate on the dedicated Ipoh to KL ETS route.
The other numbered trains are long-distance services from either Butterworth or Padang Besar.

When travelling by ETS train in Malaysia your ticket gets you a reserved seat and as seat numbers are limited, it is always best to book your tickets in advance.
You can book advance ETS tickets from any ETS railway station ticket counter in the country or for a lot less time-consuming way you can:
A much cheaper alternative is to take a KTM Komuter train to KL Sentral Station.
Tanjung Malim is the last station on the Port Klang Komuter Route (Laluan).
Yet another option is to take a commuter train from Tg. Malim to Sungai Buloh, then change on to an LRT train to KLS.
