There are many ETS Trains from KL Sentral to Tanjung Malim in Perak that depart throughout the day and evening.
With the high-speed Electric Train Service taking between an hour and 15 minutes, to an hour and a half, this is the fastest way to travel between Kuala Lumpur and Tanjung Malim.

ETS Platinum Services currently do not stop here.
Train number starting with "90" operate on the KL to Ipoh ETS route and are usually the easiest trains to get seats on.
All other trains are the long distance services from either Gemas / KL Sentral to Butterworth / Padang Besar.
These same ETS services operate in the opposite direction at roughly the same frequency.
Fares for the Gold Service Trains from KL to Tg. Malim and vice versa cost :
Adult : 20 MYR
Child : 14 MYR
For the less frequent Silver Services, tickets cost :
Adult : 15 MYR
Child : 12 MYR
Tickets for all trains in Malaysia can be purchased in advance (advance booking periods may vary from a few weeks to a few months) of your departure date from any mainline KTMB Railway Station or online directly from the KTM website or by a verified online booking agent.
The last of the Intercity Trains that used to stop off in Tg. Malim have now been cancelled from 19th May 2016.
You could also use the KTM Komuter trains to travel from KL to Tanjung Malim.
You do not get an allocated seat on theses commuter services and they are slightly slower, stopping at all stations - but they are cheap!
