The fastest way to get from Kampar to Penang Island (Pulau Pinang) is to take one of the ETS Kampar to Butterworth train services operated by Malaysian Railways Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTM / KTMB).
The duration of the journey (tempoh perjalanan) by train from Kampar to Butterworth (Penang Sentral) takes a little over two hours to cover the roughly 180 km distance (jarak) between Kampar and Penang Sentral.
Once you arrive at the Butterworth Railway Station, if you want to travel over to Georgetown on Penang Island, there is a ferry service that departs from the nearby Penang Sentral Terminal building, just a couple of minutes walk away from the train station.
