Please Note: Due to upgrading work on the Komuter tracks in the KL area, there are just a few departures a day that travel all the way from KL Sentral to Tg. Malim.

An alternative way to travel to Tg Malim is to take the MRT to Sungai Buloh, then take the KTM Komuter train from there.

  • Serendah (one hour 8 minutes)
  • Batang Kali (one hour 16 minutes)
  • Rasa (one hour 19 minutes)
  • Kuala Kubu Bharu (one hour 24 minutes)

Komuter trains are not the most comfortable way to travel by train from Kuala Lumpur to Tanjung Malim but are easily the cheapest.

KTM Komuter trains are very much like tube / subway trains.

Seating is usually arranged down the sides of the carriages, with standing room in the middle of the car.

Seating is on a first come, first served basis, so you may find you have to stand during busy periods of the day.

If this does not appeal to you, you can always take an ETS Train.
