Information on how to travel from KL Sentral station to Gemas on the KTMB Train from Kuala Lumpur to Gemas by either ETS high speed train or Komuter services.

From the 19th May 2016, all Intercity Trains between KL and Gemas have been cancelled.

The fastest way to travel from KL to Gemas is on the new high speed Electric Train Services (ETS) which take just over two hours to travel to Gemas.

KL Sentral to Gemas by Komuter Train

It is possible to travel from KL to Gemas by Komuter train, but at present there is only one train that you can connect with to take you all the way.

The first step is to take a Komuter train to Seremban.

These trains leave every 20 to 30 minutes during the day and evenings.

From Seremban there are many Komuter trains that head south to Tampin, but only two that continue on to Gemas.

Train fares from KL to Gemas vary depending on the type of train you want to use.

ETS Trains are the fastest and most expensive and cost :

Child : 20 MYR

How to Buy Train Tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Gemas

You can purchase train tickets in Malaysia up to 60 days in advance from any mainline railway station on the KTMB railway network.

If you turn up on the day of travel hoping to buy a ticket there is a good chance you will not be able to get a seat.

If you are already in Kuala Lumpur, rather than travel all the way to KL Sentral Station, it is easier to buy your train tickets online.

There is a small admin fee to pay on top of the ticket price, but it will save you the time and expense of travelling to the station.
