High-speed Electric Train Services run on the new ETS Seremban to Padang Besar route that take you quickly all the way along the west of Peninsular Malaysia to the border with Thailand and just a short train, bus or taxi ride away from Hat Yai.
These long distance ETS limited stopping trains are the fast Gold Services.
New ETS Timetable valid from the 1st of December 2019 into 2020.
New Seremban to Padang Besar ETS Schedule valid for 2019 and into 2020:
|Train||Departs Seremban||Arrives Pdg. Besar||Operating Days|
All trains operate daily.
All trains are EG numbered services which means they are ETS Gold Services.
Please Note : All long distance diesel Intercity Express Trains on this route have now been cancelled (from 19th May 2016).
Alternatively you can cross over the tracks and use the main land border to cross into Thailand.
After leaving the Thai immigration area, there is a bus stop across the road, with regular buses to Hat Yai clock tower in the city centre, or you can get off at Hat Yai Bus Station for buses further north.
From Hat Yai Station, you can then continue on the SRT (State Railway of Thailand) trains up to Bangkok and beyond.
A much better option for travel from Seremban to Padang Besar by train is to take a KTM Komuter train from Seremban to KL Sentral, then connect to the more frequent trains from KL Sentral to Padang Besar.
Ticket prices for these services cost:
86 MYR for Adults
47 MYR for Children.
Advance booking for this service is advised as the train can be quite full during popular times to travel, such as weekends, school holidays, public holidays etc...
