The KTM Kempas Baru Train Station is located in the Johor Bahru district, in the state of Johor in Southern Peninsular Malaysia.
The railway station (Stesen Keretapi Kempas Baru) is in the town of Kempas and has KTMB Malaysian Railways services provided by Shuttle trains to JB Sentral to the south and Gemas to the north.
There is also a service on Malaysia's Jungle Line that stops here on its way to the north-eastern corner of the country to Kota Bharu.
As the line between JB Sentral and Gemas has yet to be upgraded for ETS trains, there is currently a Shuttle Train service on this route.

Kulai, Layang-Layang, Renggam, Mengkibol, Kluang, Chamek, Paloh, Bekok, Labis, Tenang, Genuang, Segamat, Batu Anam, Gemas, Batang Melaka and Pulau Sebang / Tampin.

Travelling south, it is only one stop by train from Kempas Baru to JB Sentral station in Johor Bahru.

To get from Kempas Baru to Singapore by train, you will have to disembark at JB Sentral, then take another five minute Shuttle Train service from JB Sentral to Woodlands CIQ Railway Station in Singapore.

Currently, if you want to travel from Kempas Baru to KL Sentral by train you have a choice of either:
1) Taking a Shuttle train to either Gemas or Tampin, then connect to the ETS services from there to KL.
2) Take a Shuttle to Tampin, then take a KTM Komuter (commuter) train from there to KL. This is by far the cheapest way to travel from Kempas Baru to KL, but the journey takes quite a bit longer.
