The KTM Tumpat railway station (stesen keretapi Tumpat) is the terminal station on the Malaysia East Coast Line (also known as the Jungle Railway), located the state of Kelantan in the north-east corner of Peninsular Malaysia and is served by Intercity (Antarabandar) and Eastern Shuttle trains (Shuttle Timuran) operated by Malaysia Railways Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB / KTM).

The Shuttle trains on this route stop at dozens of small stations along the East Coast Line.
The long-distance Ekspres Rakyat Timuran train service is the one used by most tourists along this line with stops at the following stations:
- Merapoh
- Kerambit
- Jerantut (for Taman Negara National Park)
- Kuala Krau
- Mentakab
- Triang
- Kemayan
- Bahau
- Gemas (the junction station for the West Coast Line for ETS trains)
- Johor Bahru, JB Sentral - Terminal station.

To get from Tumpat to KL Sentral Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth Penang and many other stations along the West Coast Line, you can disembark at Gemas railway station, then take one of the newer, fast ETS trains from there.

If you are travelling by one of the Shuttle trains (SH) to/from Tumpat, you buy your tickets direct from the originating station ticket counter.
If you want to travel on the long-distance Intercity train (Ekspres Rakyat Timuran - ERT), you should always book your tickets in advance to make sure you can get a seat or sleeper berth on the day you want to travel.
To book KTM Intercity train tickets in advance you can either:
Visit Tumpat station (or any other mainline KTM station) and purchase your tickets from the station ticket counter.
